PRIORITIES

My name is Rev. Susan Shumway, I am a pastor, a chaplain, and a mother. My vision is a better future for all of us in Missouri, better schools, better opportunities, and a stronger community. Missouri, we deserve better—let's work together to get it.

Fully Funded Schools

Politicians are stripping funds from our public schools and funneling our tax dollars to private corporations. Enough is enough, we need fully funded schools and well paid teachers for our children.

Lower Costs for

Families

The prices of groceries, medicine, and so much more are skyrocketing in our community. It's time we had a leader who will stand up to mega-corporations to ensure we can afford the essentials.

Affordable

Healthcare Access

We all should be able to go to the doctor without going bankrupt. We need affordable and accessible healthcare, especially mental health care, for our community.

Rev. Susan Senate for State Senate in St. Charles County 2026.

Susan is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and has lived in O’Fallon for over 18 years. She is grounded in her faith, and has three sons. She obtained her BA in History from UMKC, her Master of Divinity from Texas Christian University, and completed her Chaplain Residency at Children’s Medical Center, Dallas.

Susan works as an interim pastor in the United Church of Christ, as a Hospice Chaplain, and takes Emergency Call at local hospitals. Susan has been involved in St. Charles County Equality Coalition, St Charles Progressive Democrats, National Womens Politial Caucus - STL, Missouri Womens Political Caucus, Empower Missouri, Missouri Jobs with Justice, and is an active member in the United Church of Christ.

Susan is running to be our next State Senator to ensure we have someone who cares about us in Jefferson City.
